WS2008 is just around the corner! WS is the countys international camp, held at Ardingly Showground every 4 years. It gives scouts in the county a chance to meet new people and make new friends from withn the county and also from all over the world. 10 of our scouts are lucky enough to be going! Whilst on site Tom will be keeping a 'daily' (subject to change) blog - please visit this at http://ws2008blog.blogspot.com He will try and keep everyone up to date with all the FUN and ADVENTURE that is WS!

Well, another year has passed which means Scouts is finished for the summer. We wil be starting up again in September but please visit back here nearer the time for information about where and when as both are subject to change, depending on the hut repair. Have a great summer whatever you do and we will see you in September! |

A HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED US AT THE DUCK FAIR ON SATURDAY. WE HAD A WONDERFUL COLLECTION OF TOMBOLA, RAFFLE AND JAM JAR PRIZES, ALONG WITH MASSES OF BOOKS. THE FAIR WENT VERY WELL, AND WEREN’T WE LUCKY WITH THE WEATHER!!
WE ARE HOPING TO HAVE RAISED NEARLY £2000.00, WHICH IS A WONDERFUL AMOUNT. THIS WILL BE GOING INTO OUR REPAIR FUND. UNFORTUNATLY IT IS NOT GOING TO BE ENOUGH TO COVER COSTS AS THEY STAND, SO IF YOU KNOW OF ANYONE WHO WOULD BE ABLE TO HELP US IN ANY WAY PLEASE LET US KNOW.
WE ARE AIMING TO DO THE MAJOR REPAIRS OVER THE SUMMER TO BE READY IN SEPTEMBER, BUT SHOULD THE HUT NOT BE FINISHED, WE WILL BE MAKING ALTERNATIVE ARRANGEMENTS TO ENSURE THAT THE GROUP CARRIES ON MEETING. PLEASE BEAR WITH US ON THIS ONE AS YOU MAY FIND THAT MEETINGS WILL BE HELD ON DIFFERENT EVENINGS AND IN DIFFERENT LOCATIONS. WATCH YOUR EMAILS AND THE WEBSITE FOR UPDATES.
